Well they finally caught me, the military bastards. They even had the nerve
to offer me a proposition. If I joined them they wouldn't send me to jail, heh,
they treated it like I actually had a chioce in the matter. I agreed and they
sent me off with one of their coporals. A man by the name of Tomas Ysidro. At
first Tommy seemed like another military goon, but after a while he started
to warm up to me, though he still didn't like me to touch the electronics. I
was taken to some sort of conference room where I was to meet up with the rest
of the team they were tossing me into. The first person I saw was a man by the
name of Valric Schmug, a hacker. I took an instant liking to Valric, we seemed
to be floating in the same boat. He can be a bit insane and blood thirsty at
times, but all in all he's a nice guy. Next I met with Scott Almer, Johnny Nelson,
and Thomas McAllen. I don't know why I keep getting them confused with one another,
they look nothing alike, but apparently Scott and Johnny had worked together
before this. Nelson is the medic, and I'm not exactly sure what Almer does,
McAllen seems to be really into big guns, heh, maybe he's compensating for somehting.
After we got acquainted they called us all to the mess for grub. While we were
there they gave Thomas and another woman (who I later learned to be Jacquoi
Devonshire, a sniper and my future boss) some medals. I cheered them on and
later made some sarcastic remark, that I have yet to remember exactly what was,
and Almer punched me. My face still hurts from the blow that took my conciousness.
It's ok though because later he said he was sorry and so did I. Nelson thought
our apologies were stupid in which I told him to piss off. He went to the restroom
and when he came back I slapped him. What?! Little jerk-off deserved it! Anyway
the last person I met was Jaquoi. She seemed realy reserved almost frigid whenever
I tried to speak with her. It wasn't until later I vaugly remembered her pulling
my head up by my hair and threatening me after Almer knocked me out of my senses.
I'm going to have a hard time putting that behind me
unless, of course,
I forget all this by tommorow. I'm going to stop now, they just announced breakfast
in the mess. yum
March 4th
I just finished my first mission today. They had to pump me with drugs just
to keep me from vamiting every five minutes. Geez, you'de think I had airsickness
or something. I don't think they're gonna want me on another mission, which
is too bad 'cause I was actually beginning to warm up to the whole "military"
experience. Earlier today when we got our briefing I learned that these guys
named the covenant were our enemies. I'm still not sure why but by the look
the General gave me I didn't want to ask any more questions about it. He isn't
all bad though; he's going to let me have Alex while I have to stay here. I
hope no one is allergic to cats. Anyway the team kept telling me to get a gun,
I hate guns. I don't even know how to really use one. After what I saw today
I don't like them even more. I got the see the bloodthirsty side of everybody.
I blame it on the weapons
It still makes me sick thinking about it. All
around me people were getting shot. Tommy got messed up real bad. After seeing
him I remebered once again why I wasn't a medic and I also grew a new respect
for Nelson. I spaced out on them too. Seeing Tommy bleeding brought me back
to when one of my ex-boyfriends got pissed at me when I told him it was over
he
tried to kill me. I got to him first though
I hate guns.
On a brighter point I met an elite today. His name is Geroot. He looks a lot
like a lizard. He doesn't seem like a bad guy, kinda humorless, but not bad.
I think these elites got a bad wrap. I did get to do something fun though. One
of the pieces of hardware he was trying to get to us got burned and I got to
fix it as best I could with what little was given to me to work with. The boss
(Jaquoi) I think is warming up to me now too. On the flight over after I tossed
my cafeteria food and she lost some of her frigid bitchness to tell me it was
going to be ok. I wasn't sure how to react to that at first, so I think I may
have come off kinda cold too. Almer told me earlier to be nice to her because
she's been through a lot, well so have I. My stuff may not be war related but
it's just as bad. I'll give more updates once we get back to base. Over and
out
look at me I'm starting to sound like one of "them" already.

Military Gossip
Thomas McAllen gossip- "He
was in a tough fight and got hurt really damn bad." Nelson in fact told
you this. Nelson said, specifically, "He was shot up really bad. Nearly
died, trying to save another soldier. That's how he got the Medal of Honor."
Jacquoi Devonshire gossip- "She was there with the McAllen guy.
It's said she pulled him out after he couldn't move anymore." And there
are two or three opinions here.
"She got the job, and she should do good at it." Or "She was
bumped up for no reason." Sometimes, "McAllen shoulda been captain."
is added.
Valric Schmug gossip- "He's a lunatic! Totally insane. Gonna get
his team killed. I feel bad for the newbie team. I heard he got demoted after
turning all the sprinkler's on in an old base and messing up the officer's work."
Johnny Nelson gossip- Not much aside from that he's in the new unit.
It's also been said he was with McAllen and Devonshire.
Scott Almer gossip- He's in that new unit. What's he do? I dunno
demolitions
or something.
Tomas Ysidro gossip- Classic military man. Heard he's fair but strict.
He was with McAllen and Jacquoi Devonshire too, as far as gossip says.
